San Diego Cheap

Mt Soledad gives you some of the best views of the city!

Mt Soledad is a coastal mountain in between Pacific Beach and La Jolla. You can drive up to the top and there is a viewpoint with an amazing 360* view of San Diego.

I love going up there. I've been up there to watch fireworks on the 4th of July, taken friends there when they were in town, and even had romantic picnics with my boyfriends.

My favorite time to go up there is at sunset. You can sit up there, watch the sunset, and then watch the lights come on around the city.

Getting there is a little tricky. You really need good directions because there are a lot of turns going up the mountain.

This is the way I usually go...From the 52 freeway head west on Torrey Pines Rd toward Calle de la Plata 0.1 miTurn left at E Roseland Dr 0.2 miTurn left to stay on E Roseland Dr 0.2 miTurn right at Hidden Valley Rd 0.3 miTurn right at Via Capri 0.9 miTurn left at La Jolla Scenic Dr S which turns into Soledad Park Rd.
